Here’s a clear, practical guide on how to use potassium humate (for agriculture/soil improvement, the most common use). I’ll keep it simple and usable.
1. Application Methods
- Soil application (most common)Mix with fertilizer, compost, or sand, then spread evenly and water thoroughly.
- Drip irrigation / FertigationDissolve in water first, then apply through irrigation systems.
- Foliar sprayUse low-concentration solution and spray on leaves in early morning or late afternoon.
- Seed soaking / Root dipping
- Promote germination and root growth.

For soil application (per mu / 667m²)
- Powder / Flake: 5–10 kg per mu
- Crystal / soluble grade: 1–3 kg per mu
For drip irrigation
- 0.5–1 kg per mu, dissolved in water
For foliar spray
- Concentration: 1:1000 to 1:1500(1 gram potassium humate per 1–1.5 liters water)
For seed soaking
- Concentration: 0.1%–0.2%Soak 6–12 hours, then dry before sowing.
- Before planting / sowing
- During seedling stage
- During root development
- Before flowering / fruiting
- Dissolve completely before irrigation/foliar spray.
- Use with nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers to increase absorption.
- Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline fertilizers in high concentrations.
- Apply when soil is moist or water after application.
- Store in a dry, cool place.
- Improve soil structure
- Increase nutrient absorption
- Stimulate root growth
- Enhance drought and stress resistance
- Boost yield and quality
